We're Here for Art whether its what you create or how you serve others.
Hoot and Holler was founded for WNC residents to help ensure all of our artists can live where they work. Founded in 2024, H&H came about as founders Jillian and Mike Adams after years of conversations with residents, artists and visitors alike who expressed deep concern how difficult it had become to live and work in WNC as an artist. Fellow artists themselves, this work is deeply personal to both. Whether living their artistry through food, service, music, theater or traditional art, residents were moving outside the area in droves.
As art, service and hospitality is such a foundational element to WNC, the pair wanted to help in anyway to keep this from happening. Thus Hoot and Holler was formed with its launch event planned for August 2024 where funds will be raised to help support those in the arts and service community who need funds to cover healthcare or housing needs.
The future vision for H&H is to expand throughout the Appalachian region and potentially larger but our first priority is to take care of the area which has taken care of us, opened their arms and given us our home.
In light of Hurricane Helene, we are focusing our efforts on recovery for the whole region with a focus remaining on ensuring artists, hospitality and service workers as well as entrepreneurs can remain living and working in WNC.
